	warp patterns is a generative art piece inspired by illustrations of weaving patterns and early computer graphics. &#38;nbsp;
warp patterns features tightly woven pixel graphics that reward closer inspection. As the viewer moves closer to the projection, the color fields that appear solid from a distance reveal a much more complex set of visual patterns.

The work was on view in spring 2021 as a part of the exhibition Wish We Were Here at the Pratt Institute Manhattan Gallery in New York City.

It was then exhibited in the summer of 2021 in a modified form as a part of the first NUR International Media Art Festival, located in Kazan, Russia.

	Recommendations
	TouchDesigner, Beautiful Soup, ml5.js, Socket.IO
	2019

	Recommendations is an interactive installation that matches the user with a product on the Amazon marketplace based on the user’s appearance — referencing the modern e-commerce and tech companies’ seemingly limitless capability to surveil our behavior and use opaque algorithms to create finely-tuned suggestions (whether in the form of advertisements or content recommendations), usually in service of promoting more consumption and consumerist behavior.

Recommendations seeks to raise awareness of this trend by bringing a simplified form of the algorithmic suggestion process to the forefront.

Recommendations was built using TouchDesigner, Beautiful Soup (Python library), ml5.js (p5.js library) and Socket.IO. The installation uses a webcam connected to the ml5.js library via a locally hosted p5.js sketch to “recognize” objects in front of the camera. This information is then sent via Socket.IO to a Python script within TouchDesigner, which uses the object name to search the Amazon marketplace. Using the Beautiful Soup library, the Python script parses the search results, selects a product, gathers some information about the product, and displays the results to the viewer onscreen.

	ARCubeDrawing
	openFrameworks for iOS, ofxARKit
	2019

	ARCubeDrawing is an iOS-based AR drawing app, built using openFrameworks and the ofxARKit library. Users have the ability to place translucent 3D cubes within their surroundings and have a series of controls with which they can customize the cubes.&#38;nbsp;

Cubes are placed by tapping on the screen.&#38;nbsp;The app features adjustable blend modes, allowing for the cubes to be overlaid on the background in several different ways.

Toggle controls allow for lines to be drawn between all placed cubes, as well as the ability to turn the fill color of all cubes on or off. A color selection mode allows the user to set the hue of the next cube placed. Finally, a clear button allows for all placed cubes to be cleared.&#38;nbsp;

The app&#38;nbsp;was created as a way to experiment with transparency and drawing in AR space.

		<description>Eight Channel LooperMax MSP and Ableton Push&#38;nbsp;2019

	Eight Channel Looper is a custom Ableton Push-based control interface for an eight channel audio looper built in Max MSP.&#38;nbsp;

The project was the outcome of experimenting with the Push to create an audio performance tool.

The program treats each column of the Push grid like a channel strip of a mixing console. Each column of the Push grid corresponds to one of the eight looper tracks. Each track has controls allowing for the user to Record, Play, Stop, and Erase loops, as well as the ability to turn on and off that track at any point (without erasing or stopping playback). &#38;nbsp;Each track also has the ability to change playback and recording levels using the encoder above the screen. On an external controller, the user also has the ability to control the pitch of each track.

The screen is used to show the current state of all tracks. Play and record states as well as the current playback volume are shown for each track. A blue loading bar graphic displays&#38;nbsp;the current playback position and speed visually.

	Illusory Metric Analyzer is an installation consisting of modified vintage industrial chart recorders which plot the value of the NASDAQ index. The project was born out of research into the excesses of the stock markets in the 21st century, including the implementation of algorithmic and high-frequency trading. The equipment’s struggle to keep up with the day’s trading volume mirrors the relationship of the market and governing bodies.

There is&#38;nbsp;no discernible way of interpreting the data on the&#38;nbsp;resulting paper chart produced by the machines. No markings, scales or legends are provided to define how well the market is doing (or for that matter, what data is being recorded), calling into question the relevance of the market data for the daily lives of most people.

The piece was created using two vintage chart recorders connected to an Arduino, which was fed data from a Raspberry Pi. The chart recorders were restored to functional condition and modified to work in tandem, allowing for more of the chart to be visible at once. The voltage controlling the chart recorder was also connected to a multimeter of similar vintage, supplying an additional illegible data point. Chart data was acquired from the Yahoo Finance API.

	Transmissions is a four channel audio installation focusing on memory and space.

It features audio recordings taken during the last decade in various spaces in both the city and country. These clips were treated and cut into sections which were then uploaded to four iPods. The sound output was sent to four handheld FM radios via FM transmitters, which allowed for each radio to have its own “discrete” channel of audio.

The result is a lofi soundscape with a pseudo-surround sound effect. Transmissions was created out of an interest in exploring multi-channel sound and generative music without the use of custom software.

	Conditioning&#38;nbsp;
	Video
	2019

	According to an EPA study, the average American spends 93% of their life indoors. In New York City, it is not uncommon to experience nature from behind glass – besides public parks much of the natural vegetation that remains is only found in small doses. The film observes our relationship with (and distance from) nature, mediated by the glass windows that frame much of our modern existence – a separation which we are very conditioned to, to the point of not noticing it. The experience of the natural via windows is further distanced by the muffling sounds of air conditioning in each location. &#38;nbsp;

	Mechanical MIDI Percussion&#38;nbsp;
	Arduino, Solenoids and MIDI Sequencer
	2019

	Mechanical MIDI Percussion is a MIDI controlled percussion instrument. As MIDI notes are received by the Arduino, solenoids are triggered and strike various found objects. Each object creates a different percussive sound, ranging from metallic strikes, cymbal-like sounds, to pitched “plinks”. An add-on library was used to allow for the instrument to be sequenced via MIDI over USB.&#38;nbsp;
